Annie Sloan Painting Workshops

All classes are run at our welcoming workshop at the back of the shop in Birkdale village .In small and informal groups and in a friendly and relaxed enviroment we show you techniques to create the different effects that you can achieve using the Chalk paint, waxes and decorative products by Annie Sloan.

These lovely ladies enjoyed a recent workshop and are now inspired to paint.

FURNITURE PAINTING AND TECHNIQUES

Our most popular workshop which gives a good overview of how to use the paint to get the most out of it. During this 3 1/2 hour session we will show you different techniques to create distressed and aged effects. We will cover one colour aged effect, two colour aged effect, crackled effect and use of clear and dark waxes. You will be able to practice your new found skills on a wooden decorative piece which will be provided for you and can be taken home afterwards . Suitable for total beginners as well as those with some painting experience.

The cost is £65 and includes all paint, materials tea/coffees and cake/biscuits.

Classic Footstool Course

1 day course 10.30am-4.30pm

£135 inc lunch

If you want to try your hand at upholstery or just fancy getting creative and making an amazing product then this course is for you. Designed as an introduction to the craft, all tools and materials are providied including a solid hardwood frame, webbing, hessian,foam and wadding. All you need to bring is 1m of fabric of your choice. You will also be introduced to Chalk Paint decorative paint by Annie Sloan and be able to paint the legs to match your fabric choice.

We keep the classes small with a maximum of 4 people to ensure that you get the most out of it. At the end of the day you will be able to take home your footstool and show off your new found skills.

We are holding a ceramics OPEN STUDIO every Monday 2pm-8pm and

Wednesday 5pm-8pm.

Just pop along and try your hand at handbuilding with clay, or have a go on the potters wheel

All clay and materials are included and aprons are provided.
